Moonlight Resonance Pictures
This is the mooncake that Yung (Wayne Lai) made as a gift of gratitude for Ho (Lee Sze Kei) in the show. You can see the Chinese characters: Ho while Ka, Ho, Yuet, Hing, Chung, Chau surrounding Ho. It seems like the moon cake is representing all the children are surrounding Ho Ma, sort of protecting her and being such filial kids.
This is a really nice picture..seems like a happy family gathering. Vincent and Raymond just want the moon cake all to themselves don't they?
The cake is a "prop" for the MR. The family threw a surprise "party" for Sa and she became very touched. I guess after the filming, the cast and crew decided to eat it? Haha ^^;;
Another picture of the huge mooncake! I wonder what this is all about..Looks like they participated in the making of the cake! All are dressed up as pastry chefs even Ha Yu and Chow Chung! Look at Raymond's crazy face! ^^;;
Another picture of the delicious-looking mooncake. Is it even real? It must have a lot of lotus seed paste and a big yellow yolk! They all look so happy, looking like a happy family.
The family is having a deilcious hot pot dinner. My favourite! I wonder if its for filming or for real? Everyone has their dorky looks. Tavia and Vincent with the punk poses, Chris playing with his eye lids, Moses..not ready? Haha. Raymond looks like a crazy child! :)
Look at Tavia. She looks shocked! Raymond, again with a crazy goofy look haha! This seems like a semi-candid photo. Everyone doesn't seem to be ready haha. Chris and Susanna are the only ones who got a good pose. Everyone else..hehe ^^;;
I've heard, that Tavia and Vincent are good friends offstage. It seems to be true :) Look at them! They are having fun even with the plants. Vincent and Tavia seems to be very friendly offstage!
They probably finished the scene and decided to take a picture. I think its Fala and Susanna's marriage registration scene. Fala and Susanna are the only ones that are dressed up as brides.
The shooting for the poster!
Oh look at the dorky Moses! He looks funny with that guitar and face expression!

Moonlight Resonance - Episode 7 Review

Ho (Lee Sze Kei) asks Jo (Ha Yu) out for high tea to discuss about Ka's (Moses Chan) addiction to the stock market. Ho tells Ka that his addiction to stock market was because of Jo not teaching the children properly and blaming him for causing Ka to become addicted. Jo disagrees and argues with Ho saying its not a serious matter and argues with her that he and Hung (Michelle Yim) have been teaching their children properly by educating them so that they will be successful in the future. Ho leaves the restaurant and tells him to think it through and solve the problem.
Jo goes home and discusses with his mother, Lai (Lee Heung Kam) that he should bring Ka to the 'Ka Ho Yuet Yuen' to help out to stop his addiction to stocks. Lai agrees and decides to be the one to ask Hung. Jo also wants to plan a party for Chau (Linda Chung) to celebrate her officially becoming a doctor. During the party, Jo buys Chau a car as a gift for her birthday leaving Chau very happy and touched. As everyone dances, Jo asks Hung if Ka could work at the 'Ka Ho Yuet Yuen', Hung happily agrees but deep inside...

Jo, Ka, and Yuet (Tavia Yeung) are eating at restaurant and Ka refuses to work at their bakery shop 'Ka Ho Yuet Yuen.' Jo asks Ka to come home for dinner and the family will discuss on what job he will be taking in the bakery shop and other minor details. At home, Hung wants Ka to work from bottom to top and requires him to work at a smaller shop so he could gain some experience. Jo and Lai want Ka to have a higher job since he is the rich son. But Ka did not decide yet and already left to meet a client or friend.
During lunch time, Ka and Yuet bump into Jo. Jo tries to talk Ka into joining the bakery business but he still refuses thinking that its too good to be true because of his impression of Hung. After Ka leaves, Yuet talks to Jo saying that Hung is not that simple and is evil inside. Jo thinks Yuet is crazy and saying his lifestyle with Hung and the rest of family was more happier than before when he was with Ho.

At the bakery shop, Ho was moving pastry boxes and hurt her waist. A customer at the shop recommended her a doctor at Zhong Shan so she could heal her waist. When the family was walking home, Sa (Susanna Kwan) came home from Portugal. Sa received 4,000,000 cash from her ex-husband instead of fighting for the divorce case. Sa decides to buy shares of the 'Ho Ma Bang Ka' but the children refused thinking its a bad idea, but Ho accepted her idea.
At the bakery shop, Sa brought new pastry chefs right before Ho and Wing Ho left to Zhong Shan to heal her waist. Ho and Wing Ho were shocked to hear the news but couldn't deal with the situation since they had to leave for the train to Zhong Shan.

Wing Ho and Chau went to give out pastries to the seniors at a centre. Both of them had fun and sang songs to the seniors. When they were driving home, Gong (Lee Sing Cheung) and Mui ( Fung So Bor) saw Wing Ho and Chau in the car. When they went home Gong and Mui quickly told Jo that they were flirting. Jo met Wing Ho at a nearby dock and warned him not to go near Chau too much so that she will find a better boyfriend than Wing Ho. Wing Ho tells Jo not to trust Hung and saying that she's evil. Jo tells Wing Ho that he is happy now than before when he was with Ho, leaving Wing Ho disappointed in his father.
When Ho came back from Zhong Shan she tested out the new employee's pastries they made. Ho fired an employee for buying cheap lotus seed paste. At home, Ho warned Sa not to touch anything of bakery shop and stop causing a total mess to the shop and told her to do marketing instead.
The next day, Wing Ho tells Ho to come outside. Dat (Chow Chung) and Sa bought a shiny and golden board with their original name 'Ka Ho Yuet Yuen' on it. Dat wants to put the name back on since it was originally his and was tricked by Jo. Dat asks Jo for tea and Jo tells him to take down the shop name but Dat refuses. Jo does not want to give back the shop name to Dat and causes him to have high blood pressure.
Overall Thoughts:
This episode was okay. Nothing really exciting..Right when Sa comes back to Hong Kong all the chaos stars. Like when she wanted to put up the shop name, Jo went to talk with Dat and "threatened" Dat that he could go to jail for using a non-authorized shop name. From the previews, it looks like Dat and Sa are going to sue Jo and Hung for tricking their shop name. Of course, they are going to lose..It's so sad to be watching something that won't have a good ending, where Sa and Dat lose the court case.
I think I'm going to cut back on the summary. It takes me too much time to summarize it. I might do a quick short short summary just for those who are not able to watch it. It won't be as detailed as the ones i did for episode 5-7.
I already posted up sub/theme song for Moonlight Resonance. Not sure if you'd like the theme song, but the sub theme is recommended!
I'll be posting something up tomorrow so please come back and check :) Enjoy~

Moonlight Resonance - Episode 6 Review
Please credit http://tvbaccess.blogspot.com and redirect to this site if review and screen caps are reposted elsewhere. Thank you.
Ho (Lee Sze Kei) and Dat (Chow Chung) go to the bank machine and Dat finds out that he has $789.00 HKD in his bank account. Dat thinks it was Sa (Susanna Kwan) who input money, as interest, to his bank account since she borrowed $600, 000 HKD from Dat. Ho finally tells Dat that today is the first and every first day of the month, he gets $705.00 HKD as interest for seniors. Dat reveals that Sa has been missing for four days and does not know her whereabouts. Ironically, Sa calls Ho and tells her that she wants to ask her out to dinner tonight and says she has something important to discuss with her at a abalone restaurant. Sa tells her she must come.
Afterwards, Sa calls Ka (Moses Chan) and tells him to come too. Afterwards, Wing Ho (Raymond Lam), Yuet (Tavia Yeung), and Hing (Fala Chen) are getting ready when Ho and Dat come home. Yuet tells Ho that all three of them are going to watch a concert. Ho talks them into going and says that Dat is waiting for them at the restaurant already. Thus, they end up going.
Everyone is already settled down at the table Sa tells her not to worry saying that she is paying for the dinner from her own pocket.Ho tells Sa to talk about the serious business, which is telling her about the important news. The reason why Sa is treating them to the abalone dinner is that she is saying farewell to them. She continues by saying that she received a call from her Portugal lawyer this morning saying that they require her to go on court on next Tuesday. Ka tells everyone to eat faster so that Sa can leave quickly. Sa has bought presents for the children each of them with a rude meaning to them. Finally, Yuet tells her to sponsor her a oneway ticket so she will not definitely come back but she already bought one so there was no need. She reveals to them she will come back in two weeks which causes everyone in shock.
The next day, Ka goes to work and all his colleagues treat him as "God of stock markets." Everyone eagerly ask him whether or not to hold or let go of the stocks. While every colleague is asking for tips, Ka's boss Eliza (Astrid Chan) gets angry for everyone talking about stocks when they should be working. Ka gets yelled at by Eliza saying that he's not very hardworking and not fulfilling his duties. Eliza demands that if Ka does not get 2 more models [Ka only got 4 when he was supposed to have 6] or he will get fired. Ka decides to go to the bakery and use Yuet and Hing as the two models. At the photoshoot, Ka asks Eliza to hire Yuet as his personal assistant by sweet talking to her, leaving her pleased.
At the bakery shop, a foreign customer wants to buy 2, 000 cakes for the elderly as a charity. But since Ho and Wing Ho cannot speak English and listen well this causes the customer all confused. Luckily, Chau (Linda Chung) was there to assist them. Since this is a big order, Ho and Wing Ho are happy and invites Chau to dinner.
Ho, Wing Ho, and Chau come home and tells everyone that Chau helped her with a big order of pastries and tells the family that she will be working as a doctor trainee soon. Yuet also tells Ho that she will be working with Ka as his personal assistant. Ho wants to treat everyone to a buffet dinner but Chau wants to treat. She says that she'll treat to the dinner and Ho will treat to a function for the blind. Wing Ho and Chau act as partners for the "blind race."
Wing Ho and Chau have a fun time playing with eachother, and flashes back when to when they were little acting as the blind. Chau goes home and opens the letters that Wing Ho sent to her when Chau went to England to study. She reads all the letters and cries at the same time. She finds out that Wing Ho sacrificed his education just to help out Ho at the bakery shop and he will have to be the most responsible person since he is the only boy in the family.
The next day, Chau's family go out to celebrate Chau. While, Hung (Michelle Yim) and Jo(Ha Yu) are singing, Chau thinks back to when she was younger. Hung asked Chau to give a letter to Jo but Ho and Dat musn't see it. Chau goes to the bakery and secretly gives the letter to Jo. Chau comes home and Hung tells her to go into her room and whatever happens outside, she musn't come out. Chau doesn't listen but she secretly looks out the door and sees that Hung pretends to commit suicide and Jo stops her.
Chau asks Wing Ho to meet her outside, and she starts to cry saying it was her fault that she broke up the family and causing the divorce between Jo and Ho. Wing Ho says it wasn't her fault but she insists that it was all her fault. She reveals that Jo was supposed to break up with Hung because he will miss the children. She handed Jo a letter and caused Jo and Hung to be back together. She blames herself and said that the things she has does not belong to her including her becoming a doctor, 10+ bakery shops, and graduating from University. Wing Ho does not become mad but instead cheers her up and tell her to forget about it.
Ka and Yuet are in the car and Ka goes crazy and says that the stock market is decreasing by hundreds of points. Ka tells her to look at the electronic stock market device while he listens to the stock market finance radio and drives through a red light. Everyone starts to talk about stocks until Eliza comes in. She warns everyone not to talk about stocks or else they will either receive a warning letter or get fired instantly, and tells everyone to start a meeting.
During the meeting, Ka asks to go to the bathroom but instead he looks at the stock market electronic device and the stock market begins to rise. Everyone goes to the washroom to see if he's okay, and assures everyone that the stock market is rising. Eliza sees that he's talking about stocks and tells him to go back to continue their meeting.
At home, the whole family is finished eating dinner. Ka asks Ho to tell everyone a joke and instead of being funny, it was about Ka's stock market craze during work. Ho asks Ka to stay while everyone is washing the dishes. She lectures Ka about the bad things of stocks and Ka promises Ho that he will not touch stocks ever again.
The next day, Ka gets crazy all over stocks and Yuet cannot hold him. A friend of Ho calls her at the bakery and tells her that she saw Ka touching stocks again and tells Wing Ho to call Ka for dinner. Ka remembers the promise and is scared that Ho will yell at him again. Yung (Wayne Lai) tells Ho that he is at fault for teaching him how to play with stocks and that he is very gifted or fate has it because whatever he buys will increase. At dinner, Ka comes home all scared but Ho treats him all nice. Ho and Ka tells everyone a joke which leaves everyone laughing but Ho crying. Ho tells that everything was her fault and that she influenced him.
Dialogue:
Ho: Hi ladies, come here to buy cake?
Customer: Our Church would like to buy some cakes for the elderly. The cakes should not be too difficult to masticate nor too sticky. The cakes are for charity.
Ho: Cherries? Cherries west cake. Here Chinese cake.
Customer: Yes yes, I want to buy Chinese cake.
Ho: Chinese cake, this one very good.
Customer: No no, this is too difficult to masticate.
Ho: [To Wing Ho] Hurry and welcome this customer.
Wing Ho: Welcome, this one chicken son cake.
Customer: No.
Wing Ho: You don't like? No problem. How about this one? Banana cake.
Customer: No no no, this is too sticky. I said not too sticky. Its not good for the jaws.
Ho: Maybe she thinks our cakes are too expensive.
Wing Ho: This one no expensive. Very cheap this cake.
Customer: No no no, this has nothing to do with the price. I said I want cakes, which are not too difficult to masticate and not too sticky.
Ho: Tell her that our cakes are very famous. A lot of people come from China come to Hong Kong to play will buy our cakes as presents.
Wing Ho: Our cake, very good. Very famous. Many China people come to Hong Kong play, they buy this and go back to China and their family very happy.
Ho: Tell her everyone who eats our cakes will come back to buy more.
[Chau comes into the bakery store]
Wing Ho: People after they eat our cake, they come back and eat repeat to eat again and again.
Customer: Alright, I'll say it one last time. I need cakes for the elderly. This cake should not be too difficult to masticate nor too sticky. These cakes are for charity. I want to buy 2, 000 dozens cakes.
Chau: Hi, I can help you. This cake should be just right for the elderly. Its not too hard to masticate, nor too sticky. The price is four dollars, and since its for charity, I'll give it to you for 10% discount?
Customer: This is very great thank you very much.
Chau: Thank you very much.
Overall Thoughts:
Nothing really "big" happens in this episode. We find out that it was indirectly Chau's fault. If she didn't give the letter to Jo secretly, Jo and Hung wouldn't have reconciled. Finally, there's an episode without Sa in it. I got really annoyed with her scenes! I really hated how she was very nosy and always causing arguments in the family.
My favourite scene would be the scene where the foreign customer wants to buy pastries at Ho Ma's bakery shop. It was very funny how Ho Ma didn't know what she was saying and Raymond's English was very limited. Luckily Chau was there. I've never heard Linda speaking English but I knew she was very fluent since she grew up in Vancouver. Her English sounds very excellent! No traces of Chinese accent anywhere unlike Lee Sze Kei and Raymond but I think they forced a lot of Chinese accent in it for filming purposes. It was funny how Ho Ma thought charity was cherries in Chinese! That was very funny. Good thing Chau was there or she would've left.
I am starting to like Ka! His expressions are very funny especially where he he's "daydreaming" like in the scene where he's in the car with Yuet and she's about to read the agenda to him but he wasn't paying attention. His exaggerations are also very funny, where he flirts with his boss, Eliza. It was pretty funny how he flirted with her during the photoshoot for the models. His laughs are also very humourous and his glasses adds his comical appearance also.
I'll be working on an episode 7 review and will probably post it up tomorrow!~

Moonlight Resonance - Episode 5 Review
Please credit http://tvbaccess.blogspot.com and redirect to this site if review and screen caps are reposted elsewhere. Thank you.
Ho (Lee Sze Kei), and Wing Ho (Raymond Lam) find out that Tak (Chow Chung) took out another $200, 000 HKD for Sa so she could have enough money to hire the lawyer. Sa decides to fight for half of her ex-husband's family assets..Yuet (Tavia Yeung) announces to the whole family that she will move out tomorrow by herself because she can't stand Sa (Susanna Kwan). She says she's moving in with her colleague at work named Sammi, but truthfully she's lying and is living by herself.
Yuet owes the financial company money because of her boyfriend Eric (Eric Li). Hing (Fala Chen) is the only one who knows this but keeps it a secret from her family members. Hing and Yuet keep in contact through e-mail and because of Sa's nosy personality of hers, Sa sees Hing's email and prints it out and waves it to show everyone as she reveals the secret that Hing has been keeping. It is revealed that Eric is Cheung Zhi Yin. Eric and Yuet dated back in high school, and Eric dumped Yuet caused her eating habits to be very poor and not getting into university.
As more problems arise,Yuet and Eric argue over financial problems. Eric did not pay the financial company the weekly debt and the loaners of the financial company called Yuet at work and caused her boss to yell at her and give her a warning to not let this happen again. This causes Yuet and Eric to argue. Angrily, both walk away and Yuet starts to cry. She picks up her phone and hears its Wing Ho asking her out to have a drink at the cafe, and she decides to go. Eric comes back to sing her a song which represents their promise so that they can reconcile and Yuet calls Wing Ho back saying she cannot go and ditches Wing Ho for Eric, which leaves Wing Ho disappointed.
Yuet finds Ka (Moses Chan) at his workplace and sees he's busy working with models for a upcoming function. Yuet asks Ka a favour and gives him $9, 000 HKD so that she can earn money fast with the help of Ka and the recent stock market raising. Yuet gets fired from her job, because of the debts that Yuet and Eric owe to the financial company. Yuet has not phoned her family for days causing everyone to worry about her. Yuet sends a text message to Hing saying that she lost her job and that she broke up with Eric because he was not committed to their relationship. Wing Ho constantly tries to get hold of Yuet on the phone but it goes to voice mail box. Wing Ho bumps into Chau (Linda Chung) and she decides to help Wing Ho look for Yuet.
They stop by at the gym the Yuet goes to and sees Yuet, but unfortunately she runs away without being caught by Wing Ho and Chau. The whole family but Sa decides to go out and find Yuet hoping to bring her home. While Yuet hides in the telephone booth, she reads the voice messages that has been left for her mostly from her family. Going through a series of voice messages, she begins to cry being touched by all those things being said by Ho, Wing Ho, Chau, Hing, and Tak. She finally stops hiding from the telephone booth and is spotted by Ho and is chased by everyone and ends up hugging Ho and Tak.
Everyone finally comes home and hears Sa bickering and saying who's real fault for causing Yuet to run away from home. After all the bickering and discussion over this matter, Ho asks everyone to go back to their rooms and says she has something to discuss with Sa and Tak. But instead, Sa says there is no need. Ho took the letter from the lawyer and translated it from Portugese to Chinese. She told her father that she has only 1% chance of winning and that the 90% chance of winning Sa said before was all but made up. In the letter it said that both parties were at fault. Sa's ex-husband hid a mistress in the wardrobe while Sa hid her boyfriend, who was her dancing instructor's assistant, in the garden area.
After all the argument between Ho and Sa, Ho declares that Sa take back what she said to ah Yuet by calling her a "adopted girl" in a rude manner.
Dialogue:
Ho: I beg of you, since you are an elder, take back the two words, "adopted girl," that you said to ah Yuet and never say it ever again!
Sa: Why do i have to take it back? The truth is that she was adopted!
Ho: Yes, she was adopted but that was 20 years ago. She has already become one of the family members. You are truthfully the one that takes money, takes benefits, and takes things of value.
Tak: and, takes problems on one-self. Everytime Ho tells her everyone to go back to their rooms, but not you. You must always force them to stay and listen to you. At first no one knew, but you've caused everyone to know.
Ho: I, Chung Siu Ho has 6 children. Ka, Ho, Yuet, Yuen. You are placed third. If you are not my daughter then who is?!
[我, 鍾笑荷 有六個孩子, 家, 好, 月, 圓. 你是排第三. 如果你不是我的女兒那麼
Overall Thoughts:
The reason why i chose to translate this dialogue and post it up is because i really liked how Ho said that ah Yuet was adopted but that was 20 years ago. She has already become one of the family members. It was worth it to post it up because it was so touching, and touching to ah Yuet since it meant that Ho Ma treated her as if she was her biological mother.
I really liked how they portrayed the scene where Ho Ma found Yuet after she came out of the the phone booth. The voice message from Ho Ma was playing while the family was chasing after ah Yuet. The voice message was very touching so i decided to add the original Chinese dialogue and the English translation!
I managed to get the Chinese dialogue that Ho Ma said in the episode. It was very powerful and sorrow on how Ho Ma said it. I really liked how she said "If you are not my daughter then who is?!" She truely treated ah Yuet as her biological daughter but ah Yuet did not even realize.
I hope to see episode 6 on Monday and will do a review on episode 6! Enjoy~

Moonlight Resonance
Moonlight Resonance [溏心風暴之家好月圓]
Chung Siu Ho (Lee Sze Kei) and her husband Kam Tai Cho(Ha Yu) have been working hard for many years to establish a famous reputation for their Moonlight Cake Shop. However, Ho discovers that Cho commits adultery with her best friend Yan Hung (Michelle Yim) and she breaks up with him miserably. Ho brings along her children Kam Wing Ho (Raymond Lam), Kam Wing Hing (Fala Chen) and her adopted daughter Suen Ho Yuet (Tavia Yeung) to set up another cake shop for a living.
Hung moves in to live with Cho and she starts playing tricks in the family. She tries pleasing her mother-in-law Sheh Kwan Lai (Lee Heung Kam) in every ways while disuniting her stepson and Cho. Outside the family, Hhung starts expanding their business rapidly and Ho's younger sister Chung Siu Sa (Susanna Kwan) is displeased. Sa decides to fight for the ownership of their cake shop's brand name in court with Hung and their relationship with Hung further deteriorates.
Apart from the cake shop business, Ho also spends a lot of efforts on her children. Her oldest son Kam Wing Ka (Moses Chan) is not interested in managing the cake shop at all and he indulges himself on stock trading. He also develops an entangling relationship with his cousin Lo Ka Mei (Kate Tsui) and Yuet at the same time. On the other hand, Ho's younger son Wing Ho takes up the role of a father in the family and he works hard all the time to earn a living. Wing Ho loves his childhood friend Chau (Linda Chung) whole-heartedly but Chau is in love with the doctor Ling Chi Shun (Bosco Wong).
Ho works hard unconditionally to strive for the well being of her family members. Hung, on the other hand, is a very mean person who values her own benefits only. Cho is caught between the two women all the time and he feels helpless. One day, a disaster happens at the cake shop. Here comes a time when human nature, family bonds and love are brought to a trail.
Credits: Astro On Demand
I've already seen the first five episodes and I must say they were so exciting to watch. Each day I would wait impatiently for the next episode to be uploaded. I've always thought that the series would always be boring in the beginning and will soon get better near the end of the drama. But Moonlight Resonance was different.
I really liked how the episodes would go from past to present showing flashbacks of what happened in the past and how the divorce came upon and what happened to the children. But it can get really confusing with all the children since it was such a big family, but after the first few episodes you kind of get the idea of who is who.
I'm currently working on Moonlight Resonance - Episode 5 review..i'll be providing a thorough review that includes screen caps, translations of dialogue, and overall thoughts! Please be sure to come back and enjoy!
